After working with a doula team in Utah for my first birth, I knew I wanted a similar experience when we moved to AZ in my third trimester with our second baby. Marie and Ashley were wonderful, getting to know us and our toddler before the birth, and checking in regularly afterwards. We both really appreciated having an advocate in the room during labor and delivery, and knowing someone was thinking about our wellbeing throughout the process. We’d recommend the Tucson Doulas team highly!

I’m writing this review as a dad who had the opportunity to work with Tucson Doulas, and I truly cannot say enough good things about the experience. From the very beginning, they brought positivity, and incredibly helpful information into a situation that can feel overwhelming. I work in healthcare and honestly wasn’t sure what doulas really brought to the equation. I was skeptical at first, and I’ve never been happier to be wrong.
Our prenatal meetings were full of education and reassurance, and they made both my wife and me feel genuinely prepared for the process ahead. They consistently checked in, read the room, and had an amazing sense of humor that helped keep everything grounded and human. When labor started, they were a well oiled machine, tag teaming communication and support. My wife had an extended labor, and with their guidance we felt confident and safe laboring at home. When we went to the hospital and found out she was only one centimeter dilated, they helped us reframe the moment, reminding us that this was part of the journey and not a disappointment, but a step toward meeting our baby. When we returned the next day and things had progressed, another unexpected challenge came up. The doula helped us navigate what otherwise would have been a very scary situation. In the end, we welcomed a precious baby girl.

We had the most incredible experience with Coleen and Mona as our doulas. They guided us through every step of my wife's birth, including her successful VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean), with such expertise and calm, which made the entire process feel incredibly smooth. As a partner, it was a huge relief and comfort having their skilled help and support, which allowed me to be fully present for my family. I can’t recommend working with Tucson Doulas more! We worked specifically with Colleen and Mona, with Colleen being our point person and attending our birth. As first-time parents, having Colleen and Mona to walk us through birth preferences and provide support during pregnancy was invaluable.
Without going into too much detail, nothing about our birth experience went as planned and we were SO thankful to have Colleen with us to keep us informed, talk through options, and provide comfort during the stressful times. I would 100% work with Tucson Doulas again for any future pregnancies!

Hiring the Tucson Doulas was such a great experience! I loved having the in person conversations before birth and then having Mona in person for the hospital birth! Mona was so kind and compassionate and cared for my needs during the labor and delivery. If I were to get pregnant again, these are the doulas I would call!
